As i drove back down the lonely road to the exit, i found the one gas station by the on ramp that was open. Signs of life need reinforcement in this town as the sign in the window stated, "Yes, we are Open." Although many were out of luck in this town, i was inspired to try my own...after seeing the lottery ticket sign, i went inside the gas market and put down a shiny 5 dollar bill and asked for 5 cards. I got "Monster Money," "Fast $50" "Crazy 8's" "Ace in the Hole" and "Lucky 7."
Not a single winner. Like all those who left this town before me, i felt dejected and ready for some new scenery. The dogs and I hopped back on the highway and headed like mad for Oklahoma city...
